Well damn, Mala is sure bold and up front with her thoughts and feelings, huh? She must have been reading the body language from Daniel, or she just really likes what she sees in him and wanted to be bold lol. I'm curious to see if Mala's separated hubby comes on to create some more tension. Still, I'm really liking the intro to Mala on the series.

I love how bitchy Tricia continues to be with really anyone. "Are you jealous of my engagement?" haha and to her supposed friend! What a hoot. It does make sense though how Courtney is wanting to be engaged but Steven doesn't want to get married again. I can't wait to see their conversation.

I love that you and I both have a character named Max that is a photographer

OMG, I had the same thought as Dallas. Tricia is such a bitch, LOL. I do like how you used Tricia and Sean's engagement as a way to reignite the conflict for Courtney and Steven about him not wanting to get married again. I also cannot imagine Sean's girls are going to take well to this news, but perhaps we'll be surprised. In general, you've done a great job making it feel like time passed normally during your hiatus. People's lives don't seem to have been completely on pause artificially while T&C was "off," but not so much happened that it's jarring, either.

I'm liking Mala a lot so far! She's so blunt and straightforward. And giving her kids to mix it up with other characters is a great way to keep the canvas fresh. Looks like we're going to have quite a little crew at Sampson University this fall. I wonder how Louise is gonna feel when she notices that Daniel is showing interest in Mala...

Shauna and Max seem to have such a solid thing going. I like how you let them get married and actually enjoy married life. I'm sure that won't last forever, but it makes for a nice touchstone while everyone else has had such upheaval. They really do seem to motivate and make one another better!

If your boss comes over to your new home with a gift basket No seriously, I think Mala is perceptive about Daniel and she too has some attraction to him. And for Jai, you may never know.

Tricia has no filter when It even comes to friends. Courtney and Steven will keep having issues over their respective opinions on their future.

Tricia is a bitch, but if you know her backstory like I do than you might see why she is that way. One of the reasons of why I had Sean and Tricia getting engaged to shine a light for Courtney and Steven's differing opinions of marriage. You'll definitely see how the girls will feel in the next episode and beyond. I knew I had to create story and lives that were "off screen" for six months. Somethings stay the same but some has changed due to the passage of time.

Originally, The Guptas were originally going to appear sometime next year in a story that's going forward but when the six month break happened I decided the canvas needed some freshness in terms of stories and characters so I changed some things about them and brought them forward. I'm trying to bring them on gradually. And you'll see Louise's initial reaction about Daniel/Mala in episode 81.

On soaps we hardly get to a couple enjoy their lives together as husband and wife, husband and husband, wife and wife before a third party or a problem causes trouble. But it's a soap so drama is likely to head their way. Thanks for your readership Michael!!!
