I always enjoy episodes that center fully on one event, and the Sampson graduation was an excellent vehicle for touching on so many different story threads and dynamics. In a way, this could've even worked for your upcoming 300th episode, because it hit so strongly on the roots of the series -- Peter, Louise and Sean's relationship coming full-circle, Daniel reflecting on where his choices have gotten him, etc. And it was nice to touch on Elijah's progress after his very rocky start to college!
Although Aaliyah's stubbornness and attitude have bugged me, I'm glad that her friends accepted her back into the fold on the day of this special occasion. At a point, you just need to make peace with what's happened and move forward, even if that means keeping one eye open for a while. The fact that Lorenzo betrayed her definitely makes her more sympathetic. I do wonder if that look Jordan shot Presley at the end will spur him into some kind of action. He's generally above the fray in terms of drama and interference, but I wonder if his doubts or insecurities could get the best of him.
The encounter between Louise/Sean and Mala/Jai was also interesting. There was a tight undercurrent of tension between the reunited couples, but everyone maintained basic decorum and politeness. There's a lot of unfinished business there, which I'd love to see them all dig into, but it wouldn't have been appropriate for any of those characters (well, maaaaaaaaybe Sean) to unload in that particular moment.
Good episode! Looking forward to what you have planned for the 300th.
