Town & Country Episode 165

On This Episode Of Town and Country
Steven and Courtney's wedding reception takes place.
Elijah is tempted to drink.
Claws come out between Esther and Deirdre.

I am proud of Elijah for not giving into the temptation of drinking the vodka while in rehab because after his conversation with his parents, it could have been easy for him to fall off the wagon. And how lovely that his friends surprised him with a Christmas at the center; it should make him realize that he is loved and doesn't need to depend on the alcohol.

I love how the old wounds between Esther, Dee and Roy are all still very present. It feels like all of them have axes to grind and they haven't moved on, or are still letting what happened in the past effect their current relationships. Dee continues to be one of my favorite "guest stars" since she comes in and out of town, she adds so much humor.

And are we chem testing Samuel and Martha now? It seems like they could be a good fit since Tricia is trying to make her marriage work and Will is occupied with Emma. Even though they might have some feelings towards others, they still need loving of their own!

Good episode - lots of action happening!

It's a struggle for anyone that has an addiction, but I think Elijah realizes he does have other people who do truly care about him. We will get more focus on him as he goes through recovery.

There is a lot of sordid history between Esther and Deridre, for sure. And Roy, of course, knows most of it since he was present for some of it before his divorce. Dee will be sticking around town, shaking up the canvas for the foreseeable future. 

And are we chem testing Samuel and Martha now? It seems like they could be a good fit since Tricia is trying to make her marriage work and Will is occupied with Emma. Even though they might have some feelings towards others, they still need loving of their own!

For a while now, I have been toying around with Samuel and Martha as close friends, but perhaps there can be something more between them. Because their objects of affection are with one another, maybe it's a sign they need to get together themselves.
