Merry Christmas, Bre! Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season.
Talk about a wedding long in the making. Steven and Courtney's relationship was one of the very first major stories in T&C, so for it all to culminate in this Yuletide ceremony is a big deal. I loved so many of the little touches throughout: Heather gifting Courtney with her mother's veil, Steven talking to Roy about his upbringing (and his stepfather, John Dixon -- ATWT nod, I'm assuming?!), Evan walking down the aisle with SJ, etc. Plus we had all the hilarious reactions to Emma and Will arriving together. That storyline seems to bring out the snarky humor in everyone. And it felt right for this to be a wedding that went off without a hitch, at least as far as the central couple goes. Who knows what chaos the reception will bring, though? There's certainly a lot of drama bubbling beneath the surface.
Speaking of... Brynn's reaction to the therapist's questioning showed EXACTLY why Elijah is in the state he's in. As was said, it isn't an excuse, but it's an explanation, and you can't begin to heal from trauma or addiction until you face the foundational causes head-on. If Brynn is unwilling to be a part of that, Elijah's road to recovery could be a lot more difficult. I appreciated Nathaniel recognizing what was going on and attempting to help, though.
Excited to see what goes down at the reception!
