Oooooh! That was a clever way to make Sarah Lynn aware of Deirdre's affair with the elder Mr. Saunders, using the handwriting. Well done! Totally didn't see that coming.
Now that (some of) my election nerves have subsided, I was able to sit down and read this episode. You did a nice job with the follow-up of Tommy and Jordan's fling, Steven and Courtney's engagement, and some other elements. Aaliyah and Mala sure have a rough relationship. I don't think Mala is aware of how critical she comes off and how off-putting it can be to her daughter, but it's clear there's a lot bubbling under the surface in that family.
As angry as I am at Tommy for doing something so bone-headed, he probably made the right choice by changing his flight and not rushing to the airport. Trying to explain where he'd been and why he was late would only have made this worse. I did like Courtney immediately going into "girl power" mode, despite the offending man being her brother.
It'll be interesting if Shauna and Emma bond! They're so different, but there's also a no-nonsense quality to both of them that is a bit rare in the image-conscious Covington clan. And did I detect some sparks between Will and Emma?! Talk about an unlikely pairing.
Welcome back from your brief hiatus!
