A double release for a special occasion!

I loved how you played up the glamour and excitement of the wedding by taking time for the bachelor/bachelorette parties, seeing everyone get ready, etc. Soaps so often dismiss these events as common, but they should feel exciting to the characters involved and to the audience! Opening up with Shauna reflecting on her lifetime in that apartment was great -- turning points such as marriage are so often a time to reflect upon the past and how far we've come. I liked how you kept the thread of Cassie's non-attendance going and had Shauna ultimately be strong enough not to let it ruin her day; she's clearly had to work on that and train herself to do that.

Daniel paying off the strippers was hilarious. I kind of wish he'd let them go just to see what might've happened, LOL. Owen Renforth has been a fun injection of energy into the proceedings. He's so different from the other characters. And it was great to use the wedding to introduce both him and Deirdre Covington. Stuff like that really helps round out the world of the series.

Can we get an Esther prequel series?! She has so much exciting backstory that we get doled out in bits and pieces.

I can't say I'm surprised that Antoine made his move, but talk about too little, too late. I was proud of Shauna for the way she reacted. It was selfish of him to pull that on her, but he also did have to speak his truth. Nevertheless, I'm glad he didn't ruin her big day. I do believe that she truly loves Max.

What a fun couple of episodes! Call me crazy but I am liking this friendship between Antoine & Tricia! She gave him good advice too I. Terms of being honest with Shauna before the wedding. I did feel bad for him when she decided to continue on to marry Max. Max, btw, was cute with his nerves! I’m curious to see how long wedded bliss lasts.

Lynn learning Tommy brought Jordan as his date should lead to some good fireworks too when Tanner gets back to town. It was nice that Tommy defended Jordan cause she does have her guard up around most of the people in town.

I loved Michael’s idea of a prequel with Esther. You’ve done a good job of creating back story for all the characters but in particular hers does seem neat!

I decided to go with the double release because like you said it was to mark a special occasion. However, a lot of stuff took place within the day before and the day of the wedding so it made more sense for me to split it up and not to get too bogged in one huge episode. All of her life Shauna has lived in that apartment above the bar even through university so her flashing back to the good and bad times was something that inspired me to do that. Cassie non-attendance had to be played-out even if she wasn't coming she had to be mentioned because of another milestone she choose not to participate in.

I decided on Owen being there because the scene did need a injection of fun and unpredictability besides it was great to give Max some backstory of his life in New York City growing up. And I knew since Cassie wasn't coming, Deirdre Covington wasn't going to miss her eldest grandson's wedding. You'll see more of her in the next episode.

Well you did inspire to go forward with writing a prequel series of Esther's life in the 70's, so look for that series to be released soon. She does have an interesting backstory first person in family to go to university, former equestrian, three marriages, a stint behind bars for "murder". I will be exploring that within series alongside a young Peter, Sarah Lynn and Deirdre as well.

Antoine at least had to try to tell Shauna how he feels about her but too much has been said and done for Shauna to call off everything to be with a man who has a history of womanizing. Shauna does love Max and the next episode you see how much so.
