This episode seemed a little longer than most, which was a nice surprise.
Interesting that now after he knows that Lynn had sex for the first time, Sean is trying to be a good father. Louise really read him the act with his past sexual experiences too, which I thought was nice. Louise and Lynn's talk at the end of the episode was really sweet; the bond between Louise and the girls seems much deeper than the bond they share with Sean, which in some ways makes sense.
And damn Antoine! Noting to himself about how good Shauna looks while your new girlfriend is in front of you. I knew that he still had lingering feelings there but everything had been going so smoothly for them that I assumed he was trying to move on. I am surprised that Max is proposing so quickly to Shauna, it will be interesting to see how Antoine reacts to the news of the engagement. From Shauna's perspective, I can see why she is getting swept away by all of Max's grand gestures.
Tricia is certainly creating her share of drama even when she's not on the screen! Daniel has every right to be concerned with Courtney's hiring choice considering Tricia really doesn't have any experience. I'm curious to see how this unfolds with Courtney and Daniel now. sometimes you need a character that impacts the cast on a larger level, which Tricia seems to be doing!
Good episode D

Whoa! Wasn't expecting Max to propose to Shauna. They're so young and haven't been together that long. But they do seem like a couple that communicates well and loves one another. I'm curious as to what Mae's reaction will be -- and I suspect this is going to rev Antoine up all over again. I really like his vibe with Nichelle, though. There's something very sweet about them settling in together, and the date with tasting the different foods he prepared was cute and original. I think he actually does want to move on now, but he's still caught by having feelings for Shauna. This can't end well!
I liked how Daniel took issue with Tricia's hiring and made some valid points, and Courtney realized that she might've been a bit impulsive and not thought things through all the way. That felt very real and nuanced. So did the stuff with Sean and Louise, actually. There was that lingering thread of awkwardness and anger, both between them and when the girls came down, but it wasn't just black or white. It's nice to see parents actually being concerned about how to handle teenagers having sex but also knowing that they're becoming adults and can't be stopped.
I suspect Tanner's absence is not going to do good things for her relationship with Tommy, unfortunately. But it's an experience very much worth having for her.
Fun episode! I liked all the lighter touches and how specific and original little things were (the Covingtons playing tennis, Antoine cooking for Nichelle, etc.).
