Finally got a break and was able to read the newest episode!
I liked all the bits of teenage realism that you injected into Lynn and Elijah's date. Too often, soap teens just act like mini-adults with endless resources. The logistics of who would drive and which car to take felt very real. Jordan and Marianna kind of crack me up with their attitudes, too.
Shauna and Antoine are kind of being unfair to the people they're dating. It's as if both their relationships are just cover-ups for their mutual feelings. I do think Shauna is genuinely into Max, which kind of makes it worse -- she's (probably unknowingly) playing him against Antoine. Both couples need to exist separately if they're going to make things work! I get the sense that Nichelle might know the score and is being cautious because of it, though.
Louise seems a lot more open to Daniel than she's ever been with Sean. It's funny that she brings out a softer side of Daniel, since she doesn't scream "soft side" most times. But perhaps they can be mature together and complement one another more than she and Sean ever did. But I could see their inherent personalities causing them to bump heads as soon as real conflict hit, too.
As always, I really enjoy when you drop in bits of offscreen backstory and context, like the stuff about Lorraine's dad. It just broadens the world, and you never know what you'll find out whilst reading!
Good character-based episode!
