Oh Martha! Her scenes felt very realistic to me; anyone on the verge of having their first child would feel apprehensive, the fact that she’s doing it alone would even add to this. Of course she will have the support of her family but it’s not exactly the same as a partner. I’m curious to see what drama comes from the delivery (there’s always drama when someone goes into labour lol)

It’s also nice to see Shauna and Max still relishing their glow of being together since it usually doesn’t last that long on soaps.

I like the younger crew as well. There’s a handful of characters so you can play of the various dynamics. And, I love how real it feels with a driving lesson because everyone has to learn at some point.

I felt like I had to write Martha expressing her feelings of having a baby for the first time. I knew that she had these feelings deep down and knew that her mother would be the one who can give her some piece of much needed advice. And I think you definitely describe what I'm thinking of how the labor and delivery is going to go.

They really our basking in the after glow of their vacation and their first time making love with one another. But you're right it is a soap so nothing like happiness lasts for long.

I miss the days on soaps when they ACTUALLY invested in writing for their younger generation. So this year I have stories plan for Tanner, Lynn, Tommy, Elijah and Jordan. I think my favorite scenes of them were Tanner and Tommy arguing about the music and Elijah admitting that he has to piss from Tommy's speed driving.

Fun, lighter episode!

The scenes between Martha and Sarah Lynn were really nice. I can only imagine how terrifying it is to realize that you're about to become a parent for the first time. Kind of the calm before the storm, too -- nothing will be this quiet for Martha for a good, long while! I always enjoy family scenes like this.

The driving lesson was cute. Probably not the best idea to have a whole crew in there *and* music playing, but that's the kind of logic teenagers don't usually care for. I like how that group is shaping up and you texture in things like what Elijah's home life is like.

Shauna and Max have a good vibe together. I have a strong feeling that she won't be able to shut off her attachment to Antoine as easily as she might think she can, though...

Since Martha is going to be having this baby this month, so I know she has this left over feelings of fear of not knowing what to do when she has her little boy. And trust me you're right about nothing will be this quiet for her soon.

I imagine that Tanner turned off the music after Tommy and she argued about it. Slowly I'm trying to put the teen scene in their own stories. And since Elijah doesn't have familial connections on " screen" currently that is why I add that his parents our very academically-minded which he may or may not fight against one day.

Shauna and Max have a good vibe together. I have a strong feeling that she won't be able to shut off her attachment to Antoine as easily as she might think she can, though...

It's a soap opera, so nothing is going to remain flawless, Shauna and Martha will have a convo about all of this in the next episode.
